A deadly multi-vehicle crash in Richardson claimed the lives of three people and injured several others late Thursday night on U.S. 75. According to Richardson police, officers responded around 11:55 p.m. to the 3400 block of Central Expressway near the President George Bush Turnpike after receiving a report of a stalled Cadillac SUV. Police said a Lexus SUV crashed into the stalled Cadillac while the Cadillac’s driver and six passengers were outside the vehicle. One Cadillac passenger, identified as 19-year-old Alyia Khalid, died at the scene. The Cadillac driver and four other passengers were transported to local hospitals with injuries. The Lexus driver, identified as 27-year-old Haley Taylor, and her 6-year-old daughter were also injured in the crash and taken to local hospitals, where they were pronounced dead. A Dodge sedan later crashed into the Lexus, and its driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. At least four other vehicles, including a Nissan and an 18-wheeler, were also involved in the chain-reaction crash, but no additional injuries were reported. U.S. 75 reopened just before 9 a.m., and Richardson police are leading the investigation. Fatal crashes involving stalled vehicles and chain-reaction collisions require a thorough investigation. A Texas wrongful death lawyer can review whether driver distraction, unsafe speed, following distance, poor visibility, roadway lighting, hazard lights, stalled vehicle positioning, emergency response timing, or commercial vehicle involvement contributed to the crash. Crash evidence can disappear quickly. Black box data, dashcam footage, vehicle damage, roadway measurements, crash scene photos, surveillance video, witness statements, police reports, 911 calls, medical records, and crash reconstruction evidence may all be critical to determining what happened and who may be responsible. If your loved one was killed or injured in a Richardson car accident, U.S. 75 crash, President George Bush Turnpike collision, or Texas wrongful death case involving a multi-vehicle wreck, your family may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for funeral expenses, medical bills, lost financial support, mental anguish, loss of companionship, and other damages. Dallas Police Sergeant Faces Long Recovery After Crash

A Dallas police sergeant is facing a long recovery after being critically injured in a small plane crash in Forney. According to WFAA, Sgt. Joshua Boykin was one of three off-duty Dallas police officers on board a Bellanca Downer 14-19-3 aircraft that made an emergency landing and crashed in a field near Sage Hill Parkway and Helms Trail shortly after midnight.
