A death investigation is underway in Splendora after a man was found dead in a ditch Thursday morning. According to ABC13, Splendora police said officers responded around 7:20 a.m. to the service road in the 15000 block of U.S. 59 Business. The man’s identity had not been released as of the report. Splendora police said the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will assist as part of a multi-agency investigation. Authorities have not yet released additional details about how the man died or whether a vehicle, roadway hazard, criminal act, or other factor may have been involved. Death investigations require a thorough review of all available evidence. A Texas wrongful death lawyer can evaluate whether negligent security, a hit-and-run crash, unsafe roadway conditions, poor lighting, dangerous property conditions, or another preventable factor may have contributed to the death. Important evidence can disappear quickly. Surveillance footage, 911 calls, witness statements, roadway evidence, nearby business cameras, police reports, medical examiner findings, and scene photos may all be critical to determining what happened and who may be responsible. If your loved one was found deceased in a Splendora death investigation, Montgomery County wrongful death case, suspected hit-and-run, or incident involving unsafe property or roadway conditions, your family may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for funeral expenses, lost financial support, mental anguish, loss of companionship, and other damages. Man Killed in Fort Worth Hit-and-Run After Inspecting Car on I-35W

A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning, May 31, 2026, on southbound I-35W near East Ripy Street in Fort Worth. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, police said the man had gotten out of his vehicle after a minor crash and was checking the damage when another vehicle struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the suspect vehicle left the scene but was later found at a different location, and the investigation remained ongoing. Freeway crashes can become deadly within seconds when a disabled vehicle or minor wreck leaves someone exposed to fast-moving traffic. Investigators may need to determine whether the striking driver was speeding, distracted, impaired, failed to keep a proper lookout, or had enough time and distance to avoid the man. Evidence such as dashcam footage, traffic cameras, nearby surveillance video, vehicle damage, debris patterns, lighting conditions, 911 calls, witness statements, and event data recorder information may be critical in determining what happened. If you lost a loved one in a Fort Worth freeway crash, I-35W pedestrian accident, or fatal hit-and-run collision, you may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, mental anguish, lost financial support, and other damages. Midland Teen Killed, Four Critically Injured in Overnight Incident

A Midland teen was killed and four other people were critically injured in an overnight incident reported on June 1, 2026. According to KWTX, authorities were investigating after the incident left one person dead and four others with critical injuries. Early reports indicated that a Midland man was later facing a murder charge after reportedly confessing involvement in the incident. Incidents involving a death and multiple critical injuries can raise serious legal questions for victims and families. Investigators may need to determine exactly what happened, who was involved, whether criminal conduct contributed to the injuries, and whether any property owner, business, security provider, vehicle owner, or other third party may have played a role. Evidence such as police reports, witness statements, surveillance video, 911 calls, phone records, scene photographs, medical records, and criminal investigation findings may be critical in determining responsibility. If you were injured in a Midland critical incident, violent injury event, or catastrophic injury case, you may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, mental anguish, impairment, and other damages. If you lost a loved one, your family may also have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, mental anguish, lost financial support, and other damages.
