A North Texas woman was killed after being struck by a train in Terrell, Texas, on July 23, 2026. A 25-year-old Dallas man was killed after a Union Pacific train collided with a FedEx Express truck in Hill County, Texas, on the afternoon of July 23, 2026. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. near State Highway 81 and County Road 414 when a FedEx Mercedes-Benz delivery van was traveling westbound on a private road and attempted to cross railroad tracks. Investigators said the train struck the delivery vehicle as it crossed the tracks. The passenger, Sheldon Gutierrez-Rangel, 25, of Dallas, was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the FedEx truck remains in critical condition.
