A driver was airlifted to a hospital and a passenger was also hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on US 90 at Lindstrom Road in northeast Harris County on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the collision in the 5400 block of US 90 at Lindstrom Road.
Investigators said a person driving a white 2024 Chevrolet Colorado allegedly ran a stop sign and struck the rear of a white 2015 Ram 1500. The impact reportedly caused the Ram to leave the roadway, enter a grassy area, and strike a light pole.
The Ram driver, identified by authorities as Seth Garcia, was transported by medical helicopter to a hospital. His passenger was also hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Driver Allegedly Left Scene After US 90 Collision
According to investigators, the driver of the Chevrolet Colorado initially left the crash scene and drove home.
Authorities later located the driver, who reportedly cooperated with law enforcement.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegation that a driver ran a stop sign or left the scene should ultimately be evaluated based on the complete evidence gathered by law enforcement.
Rear Impact Sent Pickup Off Road Into Light Pole
This crash reportedly involved more than the initial impact between the two pickups.
Authorities said the Chevrolet struck the rear of the Ram, causing the Ram to leave the roadway and collide with a light pole.
Secondary impacts like these can significantly increase the forces placed on occupants. Investigators may need to reconstruct both the initial collision and the subsequent impact with the pole to understand how the occupants were injured.
Relevant evidence may include vehicle damage, roadway markings, debris patterns, event-data recorder information, photographs from the scene, witness statements, and any available video.

Evidence After a Serious US 90 Crash
When a collision results in an air ambulance response and hospitalization, preserving evidence can become particularly important.
Potential evidence may include:
Police photographs and measurements
Dashcam footage
Nearby surveillance video
Traffic-camera footage
Witness statements
Vehicle event-data recorder information
Cell phone records when relevant
Damage to both vehicles
Evidence from the stop-sign-controlled intersection
Records identifying where the Chevrolet traveled after leaving the scene
If liability is disputed, this evidence may help establish where each vehicle was traveling, whether a stop sign was obeyed, the speed of the vehicles, and how the collision occurred.
Leaving the Scene Can Complicate an Injury Claim
When a driver allegedly leaves after a serious collision, additional investigative issues can arise.
Law enforcement may need to determine who was operating the vehicle, where the vehicle went after the crash, whether it was damaged or repaired, and whether evidence was altered or lost before officers located it.
For an injured person, identifying all applicable insurance coverage may also become important. Depending on the circumstances, claims involving the other driver’s liability coverage and potentially the injured person’s own uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage may need to be evaluated.

The additional information now provides more detail about the vehicles involved, the reported sequence of events, and the hospitalization of both occupants of the Ram.

Major Crash on Northbound Loop 12 at I-30 in Dallas Closes Three Lanes During Morning Commute
A major car wreck on northbound Loop 12 at Interstate 30 (Tom Landry Freeway) in Dallas caused significant traffic delays early Thursday morning, October 15, 2026. The collision was verified at approximately 5:07 a.m. Traffic information showed the left shoulder and three northbound lanes closed, leaving only limited lanes available while emergency crews responded. Additional information about the vehicles involved and possible injuries has not yet been released. What Happened in the Loop 12 and I-30 Crash in Dallas? The major collision occurred on northbound Loop 12 at I-30, one of the major highway connections serving Dallas and the surrounding area. With three travel lanes and the left shoulder blocked, motorists traveling northbound on Loop 12 during the Thursday morning commute could encounter substantial congestion. At this time, authorities have not released information explaining how the wreck occurred, how many vehicles were involved, or whether anyone was seriously injured. Because this is a developing Dallas traffic incident, no conclusions should be drawn about fault until investigators determine the sequence of events. Evidence After a Serious Dallas Highway Wreck Determining what caused a serious highway collision can require more than the initial police crash report. Evidence that may help establish how the Loop 12 wreck occurred includes: Dash-camera recordings from vehicles involved in or near the crash TxDOT or other traffic-camera footage Nearby business surveillance video Photographs and video of the crash scene Vehicle damage and final resting positions Event data recorder information from the vehicles Witness statements Tire marks, debris, and other roadway evidence Cellphone records when legally relevant Video evidence can be particularly valuable after a collision near a major interchange such as Loop 12 and I-30, where vehicles may be merging, changing lanes, or positioning themselves for highway connections. Who May Be Responsible for a Dallas Car Accident? Liability depends on the evidence showing how the collision occurred. A driver may potentially be responsible if evidence establishes that unsafe speed, following too closely, distracted driving, an unsafe lane change, failure to maintain a single lane, or another negligent act caused the crash. Some Dallas highway wrecks involve more than one potentially responsible driver. A detailed investigation can help determine the sequence of impacts rather than relying solely on competing statements made after the collision. Why Early Investigation Matters After a Dallas Car Wreck Important evidence can disappear quickly after a highway accident. Vehicles are removed, debris is cleared, witnesses leave the scene, and some video recordings may eventually be overwritten. When injuries are serious or liability is disputed, preserving available evidence early can make it easier to reconstruct what happened. An attorney investigating a Dallas car accident may seek traffic-camera footage, vehicle data, witness information, photographs, medical records, insurance information, and other evidence necessary to evaluate the claim.
