Coverage includes verified complete years from 2021 through 2025 within Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Parker, Rockwall, Van Zandt, Wise counties. Available years vary by ZIP. Census ZIP Code Tabulation Areas approximate postal ZIP codes; they are not postal delivery boundaries. Five- and ten-mile searches are clipped to the verified county footprint. Partial coverage is labeled and cannot describe the entire surrounding area.

Approximate areas, not crash pins

Circles represent groups of crashes at approximate cell centers. Larger cells may combine several roads. The public map does not reveal individual crash locations. Records without usable coordinates, outside the county boundaries, or without an assigned ZIP are accounted for in the source coverage table; they are not silently treated as zero.

How to read the totals

Injury, fatal and commercial-vehicle categories can overlap. A crash may appear in more than one category. Unknown fields are reported separately rather than classified as “no.” Focus filters restrict every displayed total to the selected subset. Road and intersection names follow source labels, which may vary. Unknown labels are not named hotspots. Previous-year comparisons appear only when matching coverage and source criteria are available.
