One person was killed Wednesday evening in a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle near White Rock Lake and the Dallas Arboretum in East Dallas. The collision was reported at approximately 7:22 p.m. near Garland Road and East Lawther Drive on September 23, 2026. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities had not publicly identified the person who died or released a detailed account explaining how the collision occurred. A 42-year-old Wylie motorcyclist was killed after a collision with an SUV near South Ballard Avenue and Elm Drive on Tuesday evening, September 22, 2026. Wylie Police said officers and Wylie Fire Rescue responded at approximately 6:00 p.m. after a 911 caller reported that a man was lying unresponsive in the roadway. A Roanoke police officer was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on State Highway 114 just west of I-35W early Sunday morning, September 20, 2026. Roanoke Police said officers were conducting traffic enforcement on SH 114 after receiving complaints about speeding motorcyclists near an event at Texas Motor Speedway. According to police, the officer attempted to stop a motorcyclist who allegedly fled. During the pursuit, both the officer’s police motorcycle and the fleeing motorcyclist crashed into another vehicle on SH 114. The officer was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The other motorcyclist was taken into custody and was also being treated at a hospital. Motorcycles Collided With Ford Transit Van Northlake Police provided additional details, stating that both motorcycles struck a 2023 Ford Transit van during the crash. The fleeing motorcyclist was reportedly from Lawton, Oklahoma. The roadway was closed until approximately 6:00 a.m. while investigators documented and diagrammed the crash scene. Northlake Police said it would continue the investigation and pursue any appropriate charges. Authorities have not yet released a complete reconstruction explaining the sequence of impacts or the speeds of the vehicles immediately before the crash.
