From a Texas wrongful-death and premises-liability perspective, this case may involve more than just the murder charge against the man Garland police say stabbed and killed a shopper inside the Fiesta Mart on South First Street. WFAA reports officers responded around 8 p.m., found the victim suffering from a stab wound, and later announced that a 32-year-old Garland man had turned himself in and was charged with murder. For the victim’s family, the civil questions can include not only what happened between the two men, but also whether the store had adequate security, whether there were warning signs of danger, whether employees responded appropriately, and whether this violent act was foreseeable under the circumstances. If the evidence shows negligent security or some other preventable safety failure, the family may have a wrongful-death claim against parties beyond the accused attacker. If you have lost a loved one due to an act of violence, you may be entitled to seek justice and compensation through a wrongful death claim. Understanding your legal rights is crucial, and an experienced attorney can guide you through the complex legal process involved in such tragic circumstances.

Pedestrian Killed in Richardson Crash on North Central Expressway Frontage Road
A fatal pedestrian crash in Richardson claimed the life of one person on May 25, 2026, after the pedestrian was struck by two vehicles. According to Richardson police, officers received multiple 911 calls around 9:44 p.m. reporting a person walking in the roadway in the 2400 block of the west frontage road of North Central Expressway. While officers were responding, additional callers reported that the pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. Richardson Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead. Police said preliminary findings indicate the pedestrian was in the left lane of traffic when they were struck by one vehicle and then struck a second time by another vehicle. Both drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with investigators. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, and the Richardson Police Department Special Crash Investigation Team is investigating. Fatal pedestrian crashes require a thorough investigation, especially when a person is struck by multiple vehicles in a roadway. A Texas wrongful death lawyer can review whether driver speed, visibility, roadway lighting, distraction, traffic conditions, pedestrian access, roadway design, or another preventable factor contributed to the collision. Evidence can disappear quickly after a fatal pedestrian accident. Vehicle damage, black box data, dashcam footage, surveillance video, 911 calls, crash scene photos, roadway lighting conditions, witness statements, police reports, medical examiner findings, and crash reconstruction evidence may all be critical to determining what happened and who may be responsible. If your loved one was killed in a Richardson pedestrian accident, North Central Expressway frontage road crash, Dallas County fatal pedestrian collision, or Texas wrongful death case involving multiple vehicles, your family may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for funeral expenses, lost financial support, mental anguish, loss of companionship, and other damages. Midland Teen Killed, Four Critically Injured in Overnight Incident
A Midland teen was killed and four other people were critically injured in an overnight incident reported on June 1, 2026. According to KWTX, authorities were investigating after the incident left one person dead and four others with critical injuries. Early reports indicated that a Midland man was later facing a murder charge after reportedly confessing involvement in the incident. Incidents involving a death and multiple critical injuries can raise serious legal questions for victims and families. Investigators may need to determine exactly what happened, who was involved, whether criminal conduct contributed to the injuries, and whether any property owner, business, security provider, vehicle owner, or other third party may have played a role. Evidence such as police reports, witness statements, surveillance video, 911 calls, phone records, scene photographs, medical records, and criminal investigation findings may be critical in determining responsibility. If you were injured in a Midland critical incident, violent injury event, or catastrophic injury case, you may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, mental anguish, impairment, and other damages. If you lost a loved one, your family may also have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, mental anguish, lost financial support, and other damages. Two Killed, One Critically Injured in Killeen Head-On Crash
Two people were killed and one person was critically injured in a head-on collision in Killeen on Monday morning, June 1, 2026. According to KWTX, the crash happened around 7:40 a.m. in the 700 block of East Stan Schlueter Loop, between Trimmier Road and Velma Drive. Investigators said a 2024 gray Toyota SUV traveling westbound drifted into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 2016 gray Kia SUV. The 41-year-old Toyota driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kia’s driver and passenger were taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, where the 73-year-old passenger later died. The 77-year-old Kia driver remained in critical condition. Killeen police said investigators were looking into whether impairment played a role, and an autopsy was ordered for the Toyota driver. Head-on crashes are often catastrophic because both vehicles may absorb the force of impact at roadway speed. Investigators may need to determine why the Toyota crossed into oncoming traffic, whether impairment, distraction, fatigue, speed, medical issues, vehicle defects, roadway design, or another factor contributed to the collision. Evidence such as crash scene measurements, witness statements, vehicle inspections, event data recorder information, toxicology findings, surveillance video, dashcam footage, and police reconstruction findings may be critical in understanding what happened. If you were injured in a Killeen car accident, East Stan Schlueter Loop crash, or serious head-on collision, you may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, mental anguish, impairment, and other damages. If you lost a loved one, your family may also have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, mental anguish, lost financial support, and other damages.
