One person was killed after a wrong-way crash early Saturday morning on Highway 121 near Sylvania Avenue in Fort Worth.
According to NBC 5 DFW, Fort Worth police found two vehicles involved in the crash. One driver died at the scene, and the other driver was taken to a hospital for treatment. Investigators had not yet said which driver may have been traveling the wrong way, and the crash remained under investigation.
Wrong-way crashes are often devastating because they can involve head-on impacts at highway speeds. Investigators may need to determine how the vehicle entered the roadway in the wrong direction, whether impairment, fatigue, distraction, poor lighting, confusing ramps, missing signage, or roadway design contributed to the collision, and whether either driver had time to react. Evidence such as crash scene measurements, dashcam footage, traffic cameras, 911 calls, witness statements, vehicle damage, and event data recorder information may be critical in determining what happened.
If you were injured in a Fort Worth wrong-way crash, Highway 121 collision, or serious two-vehicle wreck, you may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, mental anguish, impairment, and other damages. If you lost a loved one, your family may also have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim.
