Three people were killed, including a child, and another child was critically injured after an illegal street racing crash in Duncanville on Monday night, June 8, 2026.
According to CBS News Texas, Duncanville police said officers responded around 8:45 p.m. to the intersection of West Wheatland Road and South Cedar Ridge Drive, where they found a white Chrysler 300 and a gray Toyota Corolla involved in the crash. Investigators said multiple witnesses reported that two vehicles were racing when one of them struck the Corolla. Two women inside the Corolla died at the scene, two children were taken to the hospital, and one of the children later died. The other child remained in critical condition. Police said two men suspected of being involved in the street race were taken into custody and were expected to face multiple felony charges.
Street racing crashes can devastate innocent families and bystanders within seconds. Investigators may need to determine which vehicles were racing, how fast they were traveling, whether any drivers fled, whether passengers or other motorists were placed in danger, and whether additional witnesses, video footage, roadway conditions, or traffic signals played a role. Evidence such as crash scene measurements, surveillance video, dashcam footage, vehicle event data, phone records, witness statements, 911 calls, toxicology results, and police reconstruction findings may be critical in determining responsibility.
If you lost a loved one in a Duncanville car accident, street racing crash, Wheatland Road collision, South Cedar Ridge Drive wreck, or fatal two-vehicle crash, you may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, mental anguish, lost financial support, and other damages. If you were injured, you may also have the right to pursue compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, impairment, and other damages.
