A deadly two-vehicle crash in Hunt County claimed the life of one driver and sent two others to the hospital. According to WFAA, the crash happened on U.S. Highway 69 near County Road 1036 in Celeste, approximately one mile north of Greenville. Texas DPS said the wreck involved a 2014 Toyota Camry and a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck. Investigators said the Toyota Camry was traveling south on U.S. 69 when it failed to drive in a single lane and struck the northbound Dodge Ram. The driver of the Camry, 69-year-old Elaine Fleming of Celeste, died at the scene. The Dodge Ram driver was taken to Medical City of Plano with incapacitating injuries, and a passenger in the Dodge was taken to Hunt Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Fatal two-vehicle crashes require a thorough investigation, especially when one vehicle crosses lanes or fails to stay in a single lane. A Texas wrongful death lawyer can review whether distraction, impairment, fatigue, roadway design, lane markings, poor visibility, vehicle defects, or another preventable factor contributed to the collision. Crash evidence can disappear quickly. Black box data, vehicle damage, roadway measurements, crash scene photos, surveillance footage, dashcam video, witness statements, police reports, medical records, and crash reconstruction evidence may all be critical to determining what happened and who may be responsible. If your loved one was killed or seriously injured in a Celeste car accident, Hunt County fatal crash, U.S. 69 collision, or Texas wrongful death case involving a head-on or lane-departure crash, your family may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for funeral expenses, medical bills, lost financial support, mental anguish, loss of companionship, and other damages. Multiple People Injured in Crashes on State Highway 31 in Gregg County

Multiple people were injured in crashes on State Highway 31 in Gregg County. According to reports, emergency crews responded Monday to multiple crash scenes in the area. The Kilgore Fire Department said crews were assisting Sabine Fire & Rescue with a multi-vehicle crash about one mile east of FM 3053 on SH 31, where multiple people were injured. Officials also reported another injury crash in the same area, and the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office said a crash happened near Wildflower Hill Road on SH 31. Authorities urged drivers to avoid the area and expect closures and delays. It was not immediately clear whether the crashes were related. Multi-vehicle crashes require a thorough investigation to determine what happened and whether the collisions could have been prevented. A Texas car accident lawyer can review whether speeding, distraction, impairment, unsafe lane changes, following distance, roadway conditions, limited visibility, vehicle defects, or another factor contributed to the crashes. Important evidence can disappear quickly after serious roadway collisions. Police reports, crash scene photographs, vehicle damage, skid marks, debris fields, traffic camera footage, dashcam video, witness statements, medical records, roadway evidence, and crash reconstruction evidence may all be critical to determining fault and protecting injured victims’ legal rights. If you or your loved one was injured in a Gregg County car accident, State Highway 31 crash, FM 3053-area collision, Wildflower Hill Road wreck, or East Texas multi-vehicle accident, you may have the right to seek justice and pursue compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, property damage, and other damages.
